Yangon - city tour

Upon arrival in Yangon, our guide will warmly welcome you at the airport and help you transfer to your hotel for check-in. Today, we hold an opening city tour in the peaceful capital of Yangon. We go from the Strand Road, move along the Yangon River to experience the life of people on two sides of the river. Then, we walk in the Pansoedan Street which has solemn French colonial buildings. In the afternoon, we start to visit the pagodas and temples in Yangon. Firstly, we visit Batataung Pagoda – a famous pagoda located in downtown Yangon, Myanmar, near the Yangon River. Then, we move to Sule Pagoda where houses a hair given by the Buddha. Leave sites of Buddha, we will go to Bogyoke market where anything from common products such as clothing and foods to luxury goods like jewelry are sold. This place is an ideal place for travelers to exchange their money to Kyat. In the evening, we move to the Shwedagon Pagoda to enjoy the setting of Yangon city under the sky of the night. Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo - Golden Rock

After breakfast, we will drive to Kin Pun, 194 km from Yangon and visit the famous Kyaikhtiyo Temple, also called the Golden Rock. This temple locates in the mountains North east of Yangon hanging over a steep cliff. Around the pagoda is an atmosphere of devotion with the burning candles, the chanting of devotees, the smell of incense sticks and the offerings being made to the shrine. Before leaving, we don't forget to enjoy the sunset from the edge. In the evening, we will have dinner and an overnight stay at Kyaikhtiyo.

Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon

It is said that Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda is one of the most venerated pagodas in Myanmar. It has been built for more than one thousand-year-old and destroyed several times due to earthquakes. Inside the pagoda is the Shwe Thalyaung Buddha image - a 55 meter long lying Buddha statue with unique style. After the temple visit, we turn back to Yangon and stay overnight there.

Yangon - Bagan by morning flight

After having breakfast, we will transfer to the Airport to take a morning flight to Bagan. Upon arrival in Bagan, we start visiting the main religious buildings in Bagan such as Htilomilo Temple and Ananda Temples. In the afternoon, we continue explore the ancient city of Bagan through Manuha Temple and Nan Phaya Temple. These temples have been built for along time. Today, we will end by taking a short time to enjoy the sunset of the Bagan's solemn ancient monument. Stay overnight in Bagan.

Bagan

Today, we will take a horse - cart to Phwasaw villages where you can see the typical Myanmar villagers' life. Afterward, we will head to other places to visit Buddhist temples and pagodas. In the afternoon, we will visit Kyauk Gu U Min - one of the four Monument in Bagan, built of stone brick. The temple locates on the bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River with notable sandstone carvings and a colossal Buddha image. On the way boating to the temple, we enjoy sunset on the beautiful Irrawaddy River. Stay overnight in Bagan.

Bagan - Pakokku - Monywa

In the early morning, we will drive to Pakokku where houses weaving and cigar cheroot workshops. It is a really good opportunity for you to witness the workers with skilled and clever hands weaving fabric or rolling cigars. Don’t forget to buy some silk bags and accessories for family and friends. In the afternoon, we move to Monywa situated on the eastern bank of the Chindwin River. It can be said that, Monywa is an interesting town to explore and a useful stop if making the journey overland between Mandalay and Bagan. Enjoy the sunset from the banks of Chindwin River. Monywa Sightseeing

In the morning, we drive to Phowun Taung Caves which houses Buddhist statues and murals dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. The natural shape of caves still remains unchanged until now, so tourists can see the traditional motifs of vines, flowers as well as figures of mythical creatures. Leave Phowun Taung Caves, we will head to copper factories where you can witness the traditional way of making copper. In the afternoon, we will explore Mohnyin Thanboddhay pagoda which contains many pavilions, rest houses and a large square pool with fish and turtles living freely here. Besides, the pagoda also has a few old wooden pavilions with beautiful and colorful stucco figures, flowers and animals. Stay overnight in Monywa.

Monywa - Sagaing - Amarapura - Mandalay

In this morning we will take a drive back to Mandalay. On the way, don't miss an opportunity to contemplate the typical scenes of the rural life in Myanmar such as rice paddie and vegetable plantation. Upon arrival in Mandalay, we start our visiting day by exploring Kaungmutaw Pagoda - an enormous solid dome shaped pagoda and Ywadaung Village – traditional silver wears villages. Then, we will hike up to the Sagaing Hill to have an all around view of the Sagaing countryside and all the temples. The last stop for our 9th day of sightseeing is the U Pein teak bridge, and we will enjoy the wonderful sunset on Myanmar skyline at that point. Stay overnight in Mandalay.

Mandalay Sightseeing

Today, we will have a full day of sightseeing Mandalay. Our first destination is Mahamuni Pagoda – a complex of structures located along a road from Mandalay leading to Amarapura in the southwest. Then we move to the traditional handicraft workshops to witness the locals weaving cloths or sharpening gems and even buy some souvenirs if you want. Next, we will head to Shwe Kyaung Monastery which is considered the Golden Palace and famous for teak carving of Buddhist myth. Leave Sgwe Kyaung Monastery, we go to Atumashi Monastery – a huge grandiose structure surrounded by five graduated rectangular terraces. Kuthotaw Pagoda which contains a world's largest book will be our last stop for the day before enjoying the sunset at the Mandalay Hill. Stay overnight in Mandalay.

Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin

After 2 hours driving from Mandalay, we will reach Pyin Oo Lwin in the morning. For years, Pyin Oo Lwin is well known for its colonial style houses with large compound and pine trees, eucalyptus and silver-oak abound in town. We spend some time sightseeing the city before coming to the first interesting place- Kandawgyi Botanical Garden. The Garden contains a collection of 4840 trees mostly pine varieties, 575 different floral species and many exotic fruit. Besides, there is a special part - the Orchid Green House in the garden which display vast meadows, several seasonal flower beds and hundred wild orchids. Then, we move to Pwe Kauk Fall - a very pleasant picnic spot for tourists. Our last stop for today is Peik Chin Myaung natural cave and some colonial buildings around the downtown. Stay overnight in Pyinoolwin.

Pyin Oo Lwin - Mandalay

We will spend a full day sightseeing the beautiful Pyin Oo Lwin before driving 2 hours back to Mandalay. Mandalay - Heho by flight, Pindaya - Kalaw Sightseeing

In the early morning, we will take a flight to Heho. From Heho, we will head to Pindaya cave which contains 8000 Buddha images inside. Afterward, we move to the Shan Umbrella Making Home Industry to witness the umbrella making steps. Don't miss an opportunity to buy your favorite umbrella which is designed differently from that in your country. To end the day, we will enjoy the beauty of sunset of the hill station in Kalaw. Trekking to Painnebin, drive to visit Inle

After breakfast, we move to Small Mountain to visit the Pine trees forest. Pine trees grow in a straight line that allow the sun ray go through, make bright track on the ground. Besides, you can see the cheroot leaf and orange trees garden of Danu people. After having breakfast, we move to the Painebin village where have the Palaung living. There are two options for us today: we can visit a local old-style house and witness daily activities of the Palaung, or we will climb up mountain and enjoy the spectacular view. In the late afternoon, we continue to Inle Lake and stay overnight here.

Inle Lake Sightseeing

After having breakfast, we move to Inle Lake by boat. The most special sight on Inle Lake is floating gardens where the local use the water hyacinth combining with seaweed on the bottom of the lake to keep the soil to grow more vegetables such as tomatoes, mint, etc. Up and down the lake there are many temples, monasteries with golden pinnacles brightening on the sunlight. On the Inle Lake, we visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda where houses the five Buddha images. These images are covered with gold in order to make visitors not be able to see the original form. Leave Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, we continue to the weaving village of Inpawkhon. Stay overnight on the Inle Lake.

Indeinn Sightseeing - Heho - Yangon

It will be a shortcoming if you are on Inle Lake without discovering the life of the leg-rowing Intha fishermen. Today, we will spend time meeting them and listening to their sharing of life and difficulties in life. Then we move by boat to Indeinn to witness the farmers harvesting their crops. The 16 century pagoda of Indeinn is our last destination in the morning. In the afternoon, we transfer to the airport and take a flight back to Yangon.
